Tomáš Klíma

I'm Tomáš, a freshman at Stanford from a tiny town in Czechia. I build robotics and space tech to help steer future of space exploration and physical AI. I relax by learning about history and philosophy. When I'm in the mood, I go to class. (I hate homework). At high school, I started with building tools for students and clinicians. Someday, I want to stand on Mars.

I hate pathways, structure, rules. I never walk the beaten path. Sometimes just out of conviction.

There has been no path from my hometown to Stanford. But without knowing, I created one by personally reaching out to dozens of school principals in the UK and Germany. This enabled me to go for a study trip to high school abroad. And ultimately led me here.

A learning platform and an AI mentor

Researched what's broken in Czech education, then started fixing it: a web platform that has taught 1,700+ students how to study effectively and use technology, an AI learning mentor, and workshops on educational opportunities for 300+ students. The research paper reached the national round of SOČ.

Cold emails that opened doors

There has been no study abroad program at my school or in my town. So I created my own from scratch. I cold-called and cold-emailed dozens of principals in the UK and Germany. This opened me doors to a study stay in Cambridge and at a grammar school in Germany.

Helping Make Europe Great Again

I just could not look at where Europe is heading. First step is to acknowledge the problem. Tell things as they really are. I also try proposing solutions.

VISIONED: Improving the quality and efficiency of education with the use of modern technology

I analysed Czech education and found it underuses modern technology. So I built a guide to classroom tech tools for teachers and VISIONED.cz, a platform that teaches students to study efficiently with my SaCRA method.
